Nora Cargo received her undergraduate degree in Speech Communication and
graduate degree in Higher Education Administration, both from Texas A&M University. She worked for Texas A&M University for 32 years before retiring as Director of Scholarships & Veteran Services in December 2024. In her career, Nora presented at state, regional, and national conferences for student employment, student financial aid, and scholarships. Additionally, Nora served in leadership roles for the regional and national student employment associations, and the regional and state financial aid associations.

Nora has served as the convener of the Texas A&M Catholic Faculty & Staff Network. She is a former President of the Bryan ISD Education Foundation Board and has been involved with various other committees and programs at the University, in the Bryan schools, Bryan/College Station community, and at St Joseph Catholic Church. Nora currently performs as a commencement and awards ceremonies announcer for Texas A&M University and works for Voice Talent International, LLC providing live name reading services for commencement ceremonies across the country.

Nora and her husband, Sean, have three adult children.
